I was welcomed back to Darwin with a monsoon, which brought rain and cooler weather. The storms were a little loud some nights and I ended up riding to work in the rain one day. (My colleague then taught me to how to read a weather radar so I could get home when there was a break in the rain.) Praying that everyone across the country gets the rain they need!
The picture below is looking out my window in the middle of the night when there was lightning. The sky even looks blue! To see (well really hear) a video of the storm and frogs click here. It was loud enough to wake me.
I mean, I could hear a lot because my windows were completely open like this. Darwin has a lot of louvres because it means you can open the whole window instead of only half. You can also angle the louvres up to stop the horizontal rain getting in while still getting a breeze!
