Fellowship at fellowship
Around here, worship evenings are called fellowship. They are full of singing and dancing, praying and sharing testimonies of God's work. They are typically the best attended parts of the Katherine Christian Convention, even though many of the balanda (non-Indigenous people) slip out to go to bed.
The day before the Convention started, everyone at Nungalinya College was excited to be going. One of the Indigenous teachers said to me, "I like it because the body of Christ comes together."
Jesus is the living water
This was the theme for the talks over the weekend. It was a great reminder that we should all thirst for Jesus, the source of eternal life.
Jesus said, "If anyone drinks the water that I give them, they will never get thirsty again. That water will ... make them live for ever.”
John 4:14 – Plain English Version
Give thanks for the fellowship that remote Indigenous Christians experienced at the Katherine Christian Convention this year (3-5 May). Pray for continued encouragement throughout the year.
