Katherine Christian Convention

At the beginning of May, I went to the Katherine Christian Convention, an event designed to encourage Christians from remote communities. It was lovely having Susanna there to help with the bookstall (see photo below). It was also great to see the Plain English Version used for the talks. I met a lady from Katherine who read one sentence from the Plain English Version and exclaimed, "It's wonderful", explaining that it's just the way people she knows speak English. (She didn't know that I worked on the project.)

Give thanks for the Katherine Christian Convention and the encouragement it was to all who attended. Pray that Christians in remote communities around Australia will have opportunities for fellowship and good Bible teaching.
