How many PEV Bibles have been sent out?

10,000 Plain English Version (PEV) *Bibles (portions) were printed and arrived in Australia mid last year. At the beginning of May, we found out from the PEV publisher that 3,500 Bibles have already been sent out! They expect another 2,500 to go by the end of the year, so they are keen to do a reprint this year to ensure they don't run out.

Genesis

We also just heard back from the translation consultant who is checking our final draft of PEV Genesis (chapters 23-50) to say that all of his questions and suggestions are ready to look at. If we can have it signed off and formatted by September, then it can go in the next print run.

Give thanks that so many PEV Bibles have gone out, and pray that they will be used to bring people closer to God. Pray for Susanna as she goes through the consultant's notes on Genesis and chooses illustrations to go with the text. Pray that we will have Genesis and 6 Psalms ready to go in the next PEV print run.

*The printed Bibles currently have about 70% of the New Testament and a couple of sections of the Old Testament.
