A multi-language translation workshop

I had a great time at the recent multi-language translation workshop. We had 14 speakers of Aboriginal languages do 9 new translations of Acts 1:8-11. They also recorded their translations and made them into books to take home to their communities. It was such an encouragement to spend time with so many faithful Christians and see their passion for God's word.

Give thanks for funds donated to Bible Society and Wycliffe that enabled the workshop to go ahead. (We've found workshops the most effective way to encourage translation, but they are expensive!) And give thanks for the Wycliffe and Bible Society members who helped out. Pray for the Aboriginal translators as they go home and share the story of Jesus' ascension with their communities.
