Plain English Version progress

I made the below progress chart for my Sydney presentations to show what parts of the Bible have already been translated into the Plain English Version (PEV). I was surprised by how interesting it was!

Here are a few things that stood out to me:

  • Genesis is a big book! No wonder it took us so long to finish it...

  • Psalms is huge! I'm glad it can be done in very small chunks.

  • There's still a lot of verses in Matthew and Luke to translate. But we are working on them now, so once they are finished, we'll be significantly closer to finishing the New Testament!

  • 1 John is not insignificant in size compared to the other books that haven't been translated, so finishing the John letters will also be a decent step closer.

Give thanks that there are now 3 of us working on PEV translation. Pray for good progress and wisdom in decision making, as well as for the books translated already to impact lives.
